A TRUE LIMITED EDITION CLASSIC
Embodying the unique Japanese aesthetic of the Grand Seiko, the Heritage collection offers a selection of classic watches honoring some of the earliest Grand Seiko models. For this model, one of three exclusive editions, the Watches of Switzerland group is proud to partner with Grand Seiko to create a magnificent timepiece honoring one of the most picturesque sites in Japan, the Jōdogahama Beach in the northern Tōhoku region.
This 40mm stainless steel model is inspired by the starry skies and moonlit waters of Jōdogahama, a “place of picturesque beauty”. The gray dial with a mosaic pattern and the blue seconds hand evoke the wonders of the cosmos with elegance and sobriety.
THE ART OF WATCHING
Equipped with ultra-precise movements and artisanal techniques of beauty and precision, Grand Seiko watches combine superb performance and iconic design. This approach is immediately visible in this gray Heritage model, combining the complex radial pattern of the dial with the case and bracelet, both of which are meticulously polished using the refined ‘Zaratsu’ polishing method.
Directly inspired by the 1967 model, the 62GS, this model exudes true vintage charm, supported by cutting-edge watchmaking technology with the caliber 9S85 automatic movement. This emblematic movement of the house is both resistant and precise, with an accuracy of +5 to -3 seconds per day and equipped with a power reserve of 55 hours.
The sapphire case back reveals the complex movement inside, while remaining water-resistant to 10 bars (100 meters)
